The Castle
Dalnaglar Castle is set on a beautiful naturally elevated site in the heart of Glenshee, which is known locally as 'The Fairy Glen'. Originally a 16th century hunting lodge, Dalnaglar Castle was commissioned by Lord Clyde, Queen Victoria's banker, and designed by Her Majesty's architect from Balmoral.
Although primarily a private retreat for the owner, Dalnaglar is open for exclusive rental by a few groups of paying guests per year. It is an ideal venue for intimate weddings.
Each party of guests has exclusive use of the castle and grounds.

Accommodation
Dalnaglar Castle has recently been extensively refurbished to provide the comfort of 21st century technology whilst retaining the character of a stately home.
Dalnaglar has 10 well-appointed en-suite double/twin bedrooms, as well as modernised accommodation within the Castle grounds for a further 18 visitors.
The property also includes an extremely comfortable and elegant drawing room, library, dining room and reception.

£250 per person per night
This includes:
- full Scottish breakfast
- afternoon tea
- 4-course evening meal with champagne before, wine during and all soft drinks.

Our experienced staff at Dalnaglar are happy to organise any additional items you may need, such as transport, piper, whisky tasting, storyteller, distillery visit, and numerous outdoor activities to include guided walks, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, raft building etc.
